During Your BOTOX Treatment
Dr. Davis will determine the best placement for your BOTOX injections based on what areas you wish to target. Application of the product is done with a fine needle, and most clients report feeling little more than a pinch.
The active ingredient in BOTOX is a neurotoxin that goes directly into the targeted muscle and relaxes it. This prevents the contraction of the muscle, which is what makes fine lines visible and causes more to develop. The treatment is quick, and most clients can easily fit it into a break from work.
BOTOX Recovery
Because BOTOX application is minimally invasive, there is virtually no downtime. Once your appointment is complete, you are free to head back to work, go shopping or take care of other tasks. Aside from some redness and possibly light bruising where the injections were placed, most people have no noticeable signs of the procedure.
We do ask that you keep your head upright for four hours after treatment and avoid massaging the area treated for several days, as this could diffuse the product and compromise the results of treatment.
BOTOX Results
Within a few days after treatment, you should notice a reduction in lines. This will last anywhere between 3 to 6 months. As the results start to fade, that is an indicator that a follow-up treatment is needed if you want to maintain your results.
