Your breast implants can be placed directly under your breast tissue or below the chest muscle. Where the incisions are made will depend on the placement of the implants, their size and your personal preference. Dr. Davis will discuss all options with you during the planning phase and conduct the surgery with your preferences and desired results in mind.

Breast augmentation surgery is usually an outpatient procedure and is performed under general anesthesia at the Atrium, an accredited specialty operating facility at Centennial Hospital. You will be carefully monitored throughout the process and educated on aftercare before you are released.

Most clients return home the same day as their procedure. You can expect some swelling, bruising and discomfort after surgery. Dr. Davis recommends taking a week off from all activities to rest and recover.

Wear a supportive bra to help with healing. After the first week, you may be able to return to light physical activity, resuming your usual activities within about 6 weeks. Dr. Davis will determine when you are ready for physical activity as individual healing times can vary.

Keep in mind that results will not be instantly visible. Time is needed for swelling to go down and the implants to settle into place. Most patients are able to see their final results within 3 to 6 months, though individual healing times vary.
